Accounts Receivable SpecialistWe are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist. This person will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.Duties & FunctionsProcess and apply incoming payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic funds transfers, accurately and in a timely manner.Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances and follow up on past due invoices.Conducts an analysis of the business' revenue as it pertains to assigned accountsFamiliar with the billing and collection process associated with cash apps.Participate in companywide updates concerning collection of assigned accountsReconcile A/R to the G/LInteract with customers to resolve outstanding issuesPrepare and send regular statements, invoices, and reminders to clients.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information, billing details, and payment history.Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate invoicing and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.Reconcile accounts receivable balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.Generate financial reports related to accounts receivable, aging analysis, and collection efforts.Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, providing necessary documentation and support.Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.Calculate quarterly revenue-based incentive/commission paymentsConduct ad hoc reportingOther duties as assigned by management based on Finance department initiatives and priorities.Qualifications & Standards3-5 year of related experienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business related field (Accounting or Finance preferred) or a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with related experienceProficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word) and Netsuite (preferred)Analytical thinker with the ability to research, problem solve, and resolve reconciling itemsCustomer service focus and team player mentality, with the ability to drive communication with operationsDemonstrated ability to learn and then routinely apply policies and procedures without daily instruction and under general supervisionAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and/or projects in a fast-paced environment at one time along with the ability to embrace changeAble to make decisions individually and be accountable for those decisions, but also knows when to involve managementStrong work ethic with demonstrated ability to complete assigned work accurately and timely while working in a collaborative mannerTake ownership of personal development, create a positive team spirit and support company/ department initiativesConscientious and detail-oriented to produce accurate financial data with a sense of urgency and follow-throughStrong written and verbal communication skills to confidently, clearly and concisely communicate issues and suggested resolutions with management and internal audiencesShow tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
