Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status during initial meetings and ongoing sessions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address clients’ unique needs and clinical issues.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, delivering both individual and group therapy utilizing a variety of evidence-based approaches.

• Provide clients with effective tools and strategies to navigate their mental health challenges, including coping mechanisms for anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.

• Refer clients to appropriate healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or social services, when necessary for comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, tracking client progress and treatment outcomes.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment strategies and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals presenting with substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, eating disorders, and other mental health issues. Your ability to connect with and understand clients from various cultural backgrounds will be instrumental in providing effective therapy tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and legal/ethical standards.

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering both individual and group therapy through culturally responsive practices.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, exhibiting calmness and professionalism in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively building rapport with clients of varying backgrounds.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other basic computer applications necessary for clinical work.

• Commitment to upholding professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
