Bookkeeper

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and ensuring reliable reporting across the business.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.


This role will report onsite five days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record daily financial transactions including revenue, expenses, and payments
  
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries
  
  
• Ensure proper classification of transactions in accordance with the chart of accounts
  
  
• Review and enter vendor invoices while verifying accuracy
  
  
• Track payment deadlines and assist with timely disbursements
  
  
• Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepancies
  
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and address outstanding items
  
  
• Apply customer payments and record deposits
  
  
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due balances
  
  
• Assist with collections activities as needed
  
  
• Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
  
  
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
  
  
• Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and review of entries
  
  
• Prepare documentation for external accountants and audit support
  
  
• Maintain organized financial records, both digital and physical
  
  
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures
  
  
• Assist with vendor onboarding and documentation (including W-9 collection)
  
  
• Track subscriptions, contracts, and recurring expenses
  
  
• Provide ad hoc reporting and financial support to management as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  
  
• 2+ years of accounting experience
  
  
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes
  
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy
  
  
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  
  
• Experience with AP/AR systems or automation tools preferred
  
  

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 DOE
