Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and thorough documentation from the onset of care through the conclusion of treatment.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions to develop tailored intervention strategies.
\n
• Design and implement effective treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups while utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to share and heal.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate client care and enhance recovery efforts.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and caregivers, assisting them in managing the challenges associated with their loved ones' mental health issues.

• Stay up-to-date with current trends in psychotherapy and best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Our telehealth platform allows you to reach underserved populations and provide accessible mental health services to clients who may otherwise face barriers to in-person care. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the mental health and quality of life for those you serve.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
\n
• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

• A deep understanding of the therapeutic process, including evidence-based approaches and the effect of medication prescribed by medical professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

While previous experience as a mental health counselor is required, we prefer candidates with:

• Experience in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information and progress notes.

• A background in working with clients who have co-occurring physical and mental health issues, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of and familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
