Senior Bookkeeper

Position Overview:

A growing logistics and supply chain company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join its team in Carteret, NJ. This is a high-impact role working closely with leadership to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain financial accuracy. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and takes pride in keeping financial records structured, clean, and up to date.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process invoicing, vendor payments, and collections follow-up
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Track and maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Monitor cash flow and support financial organization
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payments and discrepancies
• Support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all financial data

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of extensive bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Dependable, proactive, positive and team-oriented mindset

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 DOE
