Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing therapists to work from their preferred locations while maintaining strong connections with clients through virtual platforms. Operating within an outpatient office framework, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care plans. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed evaluations of clients to assess the intensity and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans addressing their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate healing and recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices to enhance their understanding and involvement in the healing process.

• Track and monitor client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative care practices by consulting with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to enhance overall client support.

• Stay informed about the latest research in mood disorders to continually evolve treatment methodologies and strategies.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies with colleagues.

• Advocate for clients by addressing systemic issues related to mental health stigmatization and striving to meet their unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to clients facing challenges such as major depressive episodes, general anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder. The clinic also supports vulnerable groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your work will directly impact these clients, assisting them in navigating the complexities of their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
