Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with clients, creating a safe space for open communication.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
• Facilitate therapy sessions with individuals and couples, employing various therapeutic methodologies to achieve the best outcomes.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure alignment with therapeutic goals.
• Collaboration is key; refer clients to specialists when appropriate and coordinate care as needed to enhance the therapeutic experience.
• Maintain detailed case notes and treatment documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular case reviews and team meetings to discuss client progress and contribute to the collective knowledge of best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele is diverse, ranging from individuals seeking help with anxiety and depression to couples navigating relationship challenges. The LMFT will play a crucial role in addressing various mental health issues, including but not limited to family dynamics, parenting concerns, and co-occurring disorders. This position is particularly suited for a therapist who is passionate about fostering resilience and positive change within families.

Qualifications

• A current valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training or relevant experience in addiction counseling and mental health therapy.
• Strong therapeutic skills coupled with an ability to motivate and inspire clients in their journey toward mental wellness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and collaborate within a team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the ability to implement them in therapy sessions.
• Previous experience utilizing telehealth platforms to facilitate therapy sessions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

Positive Steps Consultancy offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
