By partnering with engineering and business teams you will become the technical expert our customers rely on. Through building relationships with organizations you will deliver innovative solutions that will impact millions of users. Responsibilities Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre‑sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers’ needs Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs) Qualifications 12 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent U.S. citizenship as well as the ability to obtain and retain a U.S. government clearance Experience working in a customer‑facing consulting, technical solutions pre‑sales, or sales role Background and experience in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions Comprehensive understanding of the Internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTML, SSL protocols and Cloud Computing Customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions Experience presenting technical topics to diverse audiences Team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast‑changing environment About Us At Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day. Benefits Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For U.S. based candidates only, the base salary for this position ranges from $139,300 – $250,700/year. Compensation may include incentive bonus, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
