Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, formulating clinical diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to meet specific client needs.

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions using varied and effective modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to support client progress and engagement.

• Responding to mental health crises with timely intervention, delivering support to clients facing acute challenges, and ensuring safety through appropriate action and resources.

• Keeping meticulous records of client sessions, including treatment plans and progress notes, while adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, engaging with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for our clients.

• Educating clients and their families about mental health, treatment options, and community support resources, advocating for their needs in a compassionate and ethical manner.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various backgrounds and life circumstances. Our clients may present with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. Your skills and empathy will be crucial in building therapeutic relationships and facilitating meaningful change in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) in California.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline is required.

• Aminimum of two years of related experience in a clinical setting, showcasing strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years’ experience is required, candidates with additional experience working in community health settings or with specific populations (e.g., children, families, and individuals with trauma) will be considered favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
