About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred, OCN preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience required Oncology experience preferred but not required Skills in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management Description: The position involves providing care for mixed acuity patients, including PCU and MS patients. Nurses may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both based on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, though changes are not guaranteed. Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. Previous travel experience preferred. Self-scheduling requests will be utilized to consider preferred schedules before final posting. The first week of orientation occurs during days, while the second week includes on-unit orientation with a preceptor. Nurses will manage patients with head and neck cancers and neuro-oncology issues, including brain tumors. Tracheostomy care, including suctioning and general trach care, will be required. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety. Required to administer chemotherapy and manage BiPAP/CPAP and dysrhythmias. Candidates must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience. Two professional references are required, including one from a formal leadership capacity. Candidates must have a valid compact or state license at the time of submission. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
