Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational approaches.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Administer tailored one-on-one speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teammates such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Uphold thorough and prompt documentation adhering to all relevant state, federal, and organizational directives.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through professional development and peer networks.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days post-hire.
