Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement
• Prior experience working with elementary students in a special education setting
• Strong instructional abilities to adapt curriculum to various learning needs
• Ability to collaborate with assistants and other professionals to create an optimal educational environment
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
• Dedication to fostering social-emotional growth and academic achievement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning abilities
• Collaborate with a team of teacher assistants to deliver cohesive and consistent classroom management
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student confidence
• Employ ongoing assessment strategies to monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration to ensure alignment on student goals
