Human Resources Director

The Encompass Group is partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organization to identify a Director of HRIS to lead the administration, optimization, governance, and compliance of its HR technology ecosystem. This is not a purely strategic leadership position. We’re looking for a hands-on HRIS leader who can own critical systems and projects, solve complex issues, build meaningful workforce reporting, and lead a small HR systems team. What You’ll Do HRIS & Technology Leadership Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for UKG Pro, UKG Ready, LMS platforms, and related HR technologies . Configure and maintain workflows, business rules, security roles, approvals, notifications, organizational structures, and system settings. Troubleshoot issues impacting HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, and employee self-service. Lead testing, validation, and deployment of system upgrades, releases, patches, and enhancements. Drive HR technology implementations, integrations, and ongoing process improvements. Reporting & Workforce Analytics Develop operational, compliance, payroll, benefits, and executive workforce reporting. Build dashboards and KPIs that support workforce planning and business decision-making. Analyze workforce trends and translate data into actionable recommendations. Serve as a key reporting partner to HR leadership, Finance, Payroll, and Operations. Ensure reporting accuracy through ongoing validation and audits. Compliance & Audit Management Lead HR compliance programs and the technology processes that support them. Coordinate audit requests, documentation, testing, and corrective action plans. Manage EEO reporting and support ACA reporting requirements. Oversee LMS compliance training assignments and completion tracking. Maintain accurate policy documentation and track corrective actions. Leadership & Team Development Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to a small HR systems team. Develop team capabilities while maintaining direct ownership of critical HRIS responsibilities. Balance strategic leadership with hands-on system configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, integrations, and compliance activities. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 8–12 years of progressive HRIS, HR Operations, or HR Compliance experience. Deep, hands-on UKG Pro experience is required. Strong experience configuring HR systems, workflows, business processes, and reporting. Experience leading HR technology implementations and integrations. Background supporting HR compliance programs and audits. Experience leading a small team while remaining directly involved in day-to-day HRIS operations. Advanced Excel and workforce reporting capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-growing environment. Why This Opportunity?
