Position Overview

Opti Mind & Soul Counseling P.C is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time position allows you to engage meaningfully with clients experiencing a variety of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial role in assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Collaborate closely with clients to devise customized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful progress in client care.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment methods, and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
• Stay current with developments in mood disorder research and treatment advancements to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives to foster collaborative practices and continuous improvement.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will involve clients grappling with various mood disorders. This includes those who may have complex life situations such as experiencing homelessness, being refugees, or overcoming domestic abuse. You're not just providing therapy; you are offering hope, resilience, and practical strategies to help clients regain control over their lives.

Qualifications

• A current and active LMFT license issued by the state.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating the establishment of a safe therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients, prioritizing their unique experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities to efficiently balance clinical responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

While any relevant experience is valued, candidates with backgrounds specifically in working with mood disorders and marginalized populations will be preferred. Familiarity with telehealth and remote therapy technologies will also be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
