Pro Bono Practice Manager

DLAPiper is seeking a ProBono Practice Manager to partner with the US‑based ProBono counsel and the NewPerimeter team, providing administrative support, data analysis, marketing, and event coordination to advance the firm’s pro‑bono initiatives. Responsibilities Reporting, Databases, and Data Analysis : Work with business and accounting teams to gather pro‑bono metrics, develop dashboards, compile performance reports, and support presentations for internal and external audiences. Maintain the pro‑bono webpage, updating projects, newsletters, brochures, and FAQs. Pro Bono Clinics : Coordinate clinic logistics, including CLE, client matters, conflict checks, and agreements. Manage partnerships with legal services providers, update clinic protocols, and create an annual clinic calendar. Marketing & Communications : Collaborate with marketing to craft internal and external communications, maintain website content, draft collateral, and produce short stories, newsletters, and social media content. Research and prepare nominations for pro‑bono awards. Pro Bono Strategy : Assist in strategic planning, align pro‑bono goals with firm objectives, and coordinate with practice groups, recruiting, diversity, inclusion, marketing, accounting, IT, and professional development. Event Planning : Plan awards, training programs, advisory board meetings, information sessions, and speaking events. Support pro‑bono counsel in conferences and presentations, and prepare agendas for clinic committee meetings. Other duties as assigned . Desired Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; comfortable troubleshooting technology. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Teams knowledge; familiarity with Power BI and actionable data reporting. Excellent writing and editing abilities. Project management expertise. Experience with databases, data analysis, and report generation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Creative marketing and storytelling skills using diverse communication tools. Self‑motivated, resourceful, and capable of independent work. Demonstrated commitment to public interest, social justice, access to justice, the rule of law, and/or community service. Spanish or other language skills preferred. Event planning experience and past participation in legal clinics. Experience recruiting, motivating, and sustaining volunteers. Comfort with law‑firm environments, technology, and systems. Cultural humility and experience working with nonprofits and vulnerable populations. Proactive initiative and a willingness to seize opportunities for the pro‑bono program. Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a similar field. Certificates in business or law are preferred. A project‑management certification is preferred. Minimum Years of Experience Five years of professional experience in project management, pro‑bono practice management, marketing, communications, or a related field. Background or experience in nonprofit legal aid, pro‑bono work, corporate volunteer program management, or a similar area is preferred. Essential Job Expectations Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and third parties. Produce deliverables, respond to correspondence, and meet deadlines with quality work. Foster positive work relationships and comply with all firm policies. Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including computer work and virtual meetings. Work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast‑paced environment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Sedentary work, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Work Environment: Hybrid arrangement with remote and in‑office components as coordinated with the hiring manager.
