Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify their unique needs and strengths.

• Provide individualized therapy sessions to patients, including both individual and family therapy, tailored to their specific mental health needs.

• Complete necessary documentation such as billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms promptly to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, and relapse prevention strategies to help clients maintain stability in their lives.
\n
• Create thorough discharge plans to ensure clients have the necessary support and resources as they transition out of therapy.
\n
• Adhere to all applicable federal and state mental health laws and regulations, as well as Summerfield's internal policies and procedures.
\n
• Maintain and enhance your professional skills through ongoing training and continuing education opportunities.
\n
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in agency meetings to foster collaboration and enhance service delivery.
\n
• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory training to remain compliant with professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Telehealth Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals grappling with various mental health challenges. This may include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Your work will not only address immediate mental health needs but also empower clients by providing them with coping strategies and tools for long-term mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is required, culminating in eligibility for licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Maryland is required (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C).
