The SLT provides clerical support for Workers' Compensation Judges including the preparation and service of orders, correspondence, reports, decisions and awards. This includes reserving and completing tasks within the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) involving the processing of both incoming and outgoing documents. The SLT also assists the WCJ in maintaining EAMS records and assisting parties and the public with inquiries.

This position is located at: DWC District Office, 4720 Lincoln Blvd 2nd floor, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. The employee works 40 hours per week in an office setting. Daily access to and use of a personal computer, keyboard, telephone, fax and other office equipment are essential. Employees are required to attend meetings in designated conference rooms and be willing to travel for off-site training, work in a team environment and independently.

Department Information
The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers. DIR also publishes materials and holds workshops and seminars to promote healthy employment relations, conducts research to improve its programs, and coordinates with other agencies to target egregious violators of labor laws and tax laws in the underground economy. Special Requirements Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. - Ability to type at a speed of 45 words per minute.
- Ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

- Ability to perform difficult legal clerical work including the ability to process a large variety of legal documents, spell correctly, use good English, and make arithmetic computations.
- Ability to transcribe accurately difficult dictation involving a variety of legal terms from a dictating machine. Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
