Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Verification in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet tools, you will support a welcoming environment while responding professionally to site needs. Job Schedule:
DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and other designated areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unusual activity, property conditions, or policy violations through established channels.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
