Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial client assessments to gather comprehensive mental health histories and evaluate emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions.

• Design individualized treatment plans that include specific intervention strategies tailored to the client’s unique needs and circumstances.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling clients to explore feelings, develop coping skills, and foster personal growth.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring responsiveness to the evolving needs of clients.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create coordinated care plans for clients.

• Assist in managing referrals to specialized services, ensuring clients have comprehensive support systems in place.
\n
• Educate families and caregivers on best practices for supporting clients struggling with mental health issues, thereby enhancing their overall recovery process.

• Provide follow-up care and check-in with clients to maintain engagement and commitment to their treatment plans, addressing any barriers encountered along the way.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our dedicated counselors will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. This role requires sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to respond to the unique needs of each client, ensuring effective communication and therapeutic rapport.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding of the principles of psychological assessment and treatment methodologies.
\n
• Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations affecting mental health practices.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of direct experience in a clinical counseling setting, with proven ability to handle a case load effectively.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment progress.

• Experience with supportive therapies targeting addiction disorders and established knowledge of medication effects prescribed by medical specialists.
\n
• Familiarity with the standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with additional opportunities for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
