Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences across a fast-paced, quick service and casual dining environment. Duties

 

Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.

Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.

Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Train and develop kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety standards, POS systems such as Toast POS, and customer service excellence.

Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations during busy hours.

Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and oversee cash handling procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes efficiency.

Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Lead staff recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and fostering a positive team culture rooted in hospitality management principles.

Experience

 

5+ years of proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or casual dining restaurant environment.

Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising culinary teams in fast-paced settings with responsibilities including training & development.

Strong background in food industry operations such as inventory control, budgeting, and food safety compliance.

Familiarity with POS systems like, Toast POS, Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accuracy.

Experience managing restaurant shifts, supervising staff performance, and implementing operational procedures.

Previous hospitality management experience in hotel or banquet settings is advantageous.

Knowledge of catering services, bar operations, coffee or barista experience is a plus for versatile restaurant environments.
