We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to perform routine and STAT laboratory testing in a hospital setting. The role will support Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology while ensuring accurate results, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Work across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology sections.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results using appropriate clinical judgment.
• Perform quality control testing and take corrective action when needed.
• Review pending and result logs and ensure timely completion of testing.
• Maintain accurate patient results, records, and documentation.
• Perform delta checks and investigate unusual or critical results.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Monitor reagents and laboratory supplies.
• Handle critical specimens and test results according to established procedures.
• Support regulatory and accreditation requirements, including CAP.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and healthcare professionals to maintain quality patient care.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist experience required.
• Florida State Technologist License required, or ability to obtain during the interview process.
• Experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute-care hospital laboratory.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Experience with quality control, regulatory compliance, and equipment troubleshooting.
