The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s financial operations, including general ledger activities, reconciliations, compliance filings, and collaboration with cross-functional partners. This is a full-time, remoteposition reporting to the Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger & Reconciliations Record daily banking and financial transactions withaccurategeneral ledger coding. Performtimelyandaccuratebank reconciliations, including operating and trust accounts. Maintain balance sheet integrity andproactivelyresearch and resolve discrepancies. Support month-end close activities to ensureaccurateand complete financial statements. Compliance & Multi-State Filings Research and complete required state and local filings across multiplejurisdictions. Assistwith year-end compliance activities, including preparation and filing of1099s. Maintain organized documentation to support audits, reviews, and regulatory requirements. Accounts Payable & Vendor Oversight Supportaccountspayable processes, including vendor setup, invoice review, coding, and processing. Ensure invoices are reviewed and approvedin accordance withfirm policies and internal controls. Assistwith vendor relationship management and issue resolution as needed. Accounts Receivable & Client Accounting Support Partner with Accounts Receivable team members on collections, trust replenishment, and reconciliations. Assistwith resolving client chargebacks, billing discrepancies, and payment issues. Supportaccuratetracking and reporting of client-related financial activity. Finance Team & Business Support Assist the CFO and Senior Accountant with financial analysis, reporting, and supporting data asrequested. Participate in cross-training and serve as backup support for Finance team members. Contribute toprocess improvements and system enhancements as the firm scales. Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned. Position Requirements: As our culture is remote-first, all employees are expected to have the capability to work from home with a reliable internet connection and to set up a workstation that supports productive work during normal business hours. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experiencerequired. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounting or finance rolerequired. Experience in a multi-location or multi-state organization preferred. Experience in the legal industrystronglypreferred. Customer service experiencea plus. Demonstrated working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting, billing, and financial systems such as QuickBooks,TimeSolv,LawPay, and Salesforce preferred. Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail with the ability tomaintainaccuracy in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in an interrupt-driven setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and clients. Ownership mindset with a willingness to grow and evolve alongside the firm. Ability tomaintainprofessionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. This range is areasonably reliableestimate of the base salary that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factorspermittedby law.
