A refined, quality-driven fine dining culinary operation in Southern Westchester County is seeking an accomplished Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to support and elevate daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations in a fine dining environment

• Expedite during service and work the line as needed to ensure precision and timing

• Uphold exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation

• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff with a focus on technique and professionalism

• Oversee ordering, inventory management, and food cost controls

• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health department standards

• Collaborate on menu execution, specials, and seasonal offerings

• Serve as acting kitchen lead in the absence of the Head Chef

• Contribute to operational systems, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a fine dining or upscale culinary setting

• Strong leadership presence with a calm, disciplined approach to service

• Solid understanding of food cost control, inventory, and kitchen systems

• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

• Clear ambition to advance into a Head Chef role
