Role Overview
Provide expert bankruptcy law knowledge to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. You will produce high-quality, real-world legal content and feedback that improves how models reason about bankruptcy matters. No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise and precise legal reasoning are the priority.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents specific to bankruptcy law, offering substantive commentary and expert feedback.
- Draft sample motions, pleadings, and court filings that reflect common and complex bankruptcy scenarios.
- Evaluate hypothetical legal scenarios and deliver well-reasoned written explanations and argumentation grounded in current law.
- Create educational content and contribute to model training datasets relevant to bankruptcy practice.
- Assess model-generated legal answers for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with current U.S. bankruptcy law.
- Participate in written and verbal communications to ensure precise, high-quality input for training purposes.
- Identify nuanced issues and emerging trends in bankruptcy law that can broaden and deepen the project coverage.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school preferred.
- Active license to practice law in the United States.
- Minimum of 3 and up to 15 years of recent, hands-on bankruptcy law experience, including filings, court appearances, and advisory work.
- Demonstrated skills in bankruptcy law, legal document analysis, and legal drafting including motions, pleadings, and filings.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Preferred: judicial clerkship experience with a bankruptcy or federal judge.
- Preferred: experience teaching law or creating legal instructional materials.
- Preferred: editorial experience with a legal journal or law review.
This is a remote contractor engagement. Work will involve contributing expert legal content and evaluations to a customer project focused on AI training. Independent contractor status is required. Specific project assignments and timing will depend on project needs.
CompensationPay range: 90 to 150 hourly.
Eligibility- Must hold an active U.S. law license and meet the experience range specified above.
- Open to candidates without prior AI experience; domain expertise in bankruptcy practice is the core requirement.
