Shift Details:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:00 PM

Legal Secretary Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist Records Access Officer with Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) responses including collecting and reviewing responsive documents and assisting with redactions.
Answer the main FOIL telephone line, maintain FOIL mailbox (physical and email), respond to the public regarding FOIL requests.
Track deadlines and maintain databases.
Must have knowledge of legal terminology, business communications, and general clerical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma (or equivalent),
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a NYS Agency
With experience as a Legal Secretary
Additional certifications may be required.
