Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage directly with law enforcement to respond promptly to mental health crises, providing on-site support during incidents involving arrestees.

• Train law enforcement personnel on strategies to de-escalate mental health situations, aiming to minimize force and foster constructive interactions.

• Coordinate case management efforts with the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, ensuring the continuity of care for patients.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes while adhering to ethical guidelines.

• Be proactive in conducting field psychiatric evaluations to assess the necessity of initiating 5150/5585 applications for involuntary hospitalization.

• Offer short-term crisis counseling to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to stabilize their condition.

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse clientele, including adults experiencing acute mental health challenges, individuals involved in the criminal justice system, and community members needing immediate support. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
