ASCP RN - Oncology Infusion Nurse

Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care within a supportive environment that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and upholds the highest professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, regional nursing practice acts, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
Stay current with product and practice changes through ongoing education, applying knowledge to promote cost-effective care.
Utilize specialized nursing expertise to assign patient care based on acuity and technical needs, fostering evidence-based practice improvements.
Deliver outstanding guest relations to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
Communicate proactively to manage expectations and ensure a positive patient experience through rounding, timely responses, and professional conduct.
Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and promoting safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
Adhere to safety protocols including Just Culture principles, HIPAA compliance, and national safety standards.
Engage in continuous professional development, seeking leadership opportunities, certifications, and advanced education.
Foster teamwork by motivating and mentoring colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and building trust within the care team.

Education and Experience:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, alternatively, five years of acute care nursing experience if from a non-accredited school.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.

Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board.
