Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by obtaining detailed histories from the patient, collaborating with physicians, and consulting with interdisciplinary teams when available.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals, integrating feedback from family members and significant others where appropriate.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to demonstrate knowledge in treating a range of orthopedic conditions specific to an individual's age and health status.
• Provide education to patients and their families on treatment procedures, home exercises, and strategies for ongoing health and wellness.
• Regularly assess patient responses to treatment and adjust plans as necessary to optimize functional improvements.
• Interpret clinical data and assess patient status to identify therapy needs effectively, ensuring tailored interventions.
• Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures in line with state regulations, maintaining compliance with the State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
• Demonstrate competently the use and maintenance of therapeutic equipment, ensuring safety and providing patients with comprehensive explanations regarding their use.
• Document patient progress accurately in compliance with departmental standards while ensuring timely and precise billing for services rendered.
• Uphold a dependable attendance record, contributing positively to the team's dynamics and service provision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population that primarily includes adults undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries, post-surgical conditions, and chronic pain disorders. Your role will involve understanding the specific needs associated with different demographics, ensuring that treatment plans are age-specific and culturally sensitive.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida; a temporary permit is acceptable.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthcare Provider certification.

Preferred Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation protocols, physical therapy modalities, and patient management practices to effectively address a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
