Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center, where a collaborative and dynamic team of healthcare professionals is committed to patient success. The center features modern facilities designed for effective patient assessment, treatment, and follow-up. You will be engaged in a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent routine that fosters strong patient relationships and allows for comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and understand the specific needs and objectives of each patient and develop individualized treatment plans that align with these goals.
• Manage a caseload of 1 patient per hour, providing focused attention and specialized care tailored to each individual's physical therapy needs.
• Employ manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other interventions to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility while minimizing reliance on pain medication.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs that cater to the unique challenges and objectives of each patient.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately to maintain comprehensive records that support quality care and compliance.
• Foster ongoing motivation and encouragement throughout the treatment process to empower patients and aid in their recovery.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals within the organization to discuss treatment protocols, outcomes, and adjustments needed for patient progress.
• Regularly assess patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on progress and new medical information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Active Life, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes to elderly individuals, each requiring a thoughtful approach tailored to their unique circumstances. Your expertise in physical therapy will help facilitate a smooth transition back to daily activities, sports, or overall improvement in function and mobility.

Qualifications

• A current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited program.
• A clean record with no disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Exceptional proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing effective exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting significantly enhances your application.
• Demonstrated skill in therapeutic interventions and program development tailored to individual patient needs.
• Prior experience in collaboration and consultation with multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
