Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans.

• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions both remotely and, when appropriate, in person, adhering to the highest clinical standards.
\n
• Document sessions and treatment progress accurately and promptly in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, participating in case consultations with psychiatrists and other therapists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
\n
• Contribute to clinical discussions and staff meetings, bringing forth insights and updates on client progress.
\n
• Advocate for clients by identifying and connecting them with additional community resources and services.
\n
• Uphold the ethical standards of clinical social work and contribute positively to the clinic's mission and values.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Your clients may include various demographic backgrounds, with particular emphasis on supporting those from marginalized communities. Your efforts in creating a safe therapeutic environment will empower clients to navigate their recovery journeys and achieve optimal mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New York is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work is required, but a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is preferred.

• At least two years of relevant experience in clinical settings is expected, with an openness to newly licensed professionals.

• Mastery of various evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective client engagement and collaboration.

• A commitment to advocating for social justice, inclusivity, and equity within mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant populations, and other underserved groups is highly valued and preferred.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and client management software may enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits for eligible full-time staff include health, dental, and vision coverage, along with flexible work schedules to promote better work-life balance. Moreover, whether you choose W-2 or 1099 employment structures, we provide clinical supervision and reimbursement for continuing education units (CEUs) to support your professional growth.
