Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions remotely, employing innovative techniques to address behavioral issues.

• Develop treatment strategies focusing on anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills, aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggressive conduct.

• Collaborate regularly with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills when addressing behavioral challenges in children.
\n
• Create and maintain thorough documentation, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

• Participate in regular team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to improve client outcomes and overall service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapists will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who face a variety of developmental and intellectual challenges. By providing intensive in-community therapy, our team plays a critical role in empowering both children and their families, enabling them to achieve higher levels of functioning and quality of life. As bilingual therapists, especially those fluent in Spanish or Portuguese, will have an added opportunity to connect with diverse communities in the Chicago area.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
\n
• Flexibility to work weekends is a plus, with availability for at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM).

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for potential local client engagements are necessary.
\n
• Completion of a thorough criminal background check, including fingerprinting, will be required prior to employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience with positive behavior support strategies is highly beneficial.

• A background in working with children with intellectual/developmental impairments (I/DD) is preferred.

• Experience in a remote or hybrid work environment can be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
