About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night and Day Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 1 year of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for - Active certifications in hand at the time of submission - One reference from a manager, charge nurse, supervisor, or director in the specialty Description: The position involves providing nursing care on a medical/surgical telemetry unit. Nurses may float to different units, depending on the needs of the facility. The role requires working rotating shifts, including nights and days. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs, but the facility will try to honor preferred shifts. All travelers must work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required. Candidates will receive two attempts to pass the assessments; failure to pass may result in cancellation. Background checks will be reviewed, and applicants with an open case will not be accepted. Candidates must be nicotine-free, except for specified exemptions. A negative drug screen is required within the past 12 months and must be updated annually. Candidates who do not meet requirements will be considered non-compliant and removed from the schedule. Modules for competency and training will be required and may involve a time commitment before starting the role.
