Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to discern the trauma history of patients and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and empowerment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist in patients' healing journeys.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping strategies.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating poise and expertise in high-stress scenarios.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available support resources.

• Ensure meticulous documentation practices in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about emerging research and methodologies in trauma therapy to consistently enhance your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients grappling with trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and complex trauma. You will work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care is delivered. Our patients often seek help for a variety of stressors, navigating through deep emotional challenges while striving for recovery and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within New York state.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.

• Solid foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment strategies, and resilience-building methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor in client interactions.

• Proficient in EHR platforms and adept at using essential computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually.
