Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, gathering detailed insights from clients from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients’ emotional, behavioral, and mental health conditions to inform treatment strategies relevant to individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans that address specific client issues while aligning with evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse therapeutic modalities to engage clients effectively.

• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans based on ongoing evaluations.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, following up on medication management and any hospital admissions as required.

• Educate and empower family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage mental health challenges faced by loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working with a diverse clientele comprising individuals from various backgrounds and age groups. You will be responsible for addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise in navigating sensitive topics and fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to guiding clients towards their recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient understanding of electronic health record systems, preferably with experience in using AVATAR or similar platforms for managing client documentation.

• In-depth knowledge of the impact of substance use on mental health and familiarity with effective therapeutic interventions for dual diagnoses.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information in a compassionate manner.

• Strong interpersonal abilities, showcased by a supportive and empathetic approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a licensed mental health counselor, with hands-on knowledge of treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a sign-on bonus as part of your employment package. Other benefits include:
