Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant approaches.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Empower clients by equipping them with coping strategies and skills to manage their mental health challenges effectively.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic and comprehensive care referrals when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with may struggle with a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence, enabling you to provide care that is respectful of and tailored to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each individual will be integral to your effectiveness as a counselor.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of direct experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.

• Expertise in utilizing various evidence-based treatment modalities to address a variety of mental health issues.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitively set between USD 70,000 and 100,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
