Work Environment\n

This position operates entirely in a remote telehealth environment, allowing for flexibility and the ability to reach patients where they are most comfortable. You will navigate virtual consultations with patients, employing digital tools to conduct assessments, provide therapy, and maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records. While specific hours are set from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility will be necessary to accommodate patient schedules and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments remotely to identify individual patient needs and develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, during one-on-one sessions, couple therapy, and family counseling.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster community engagement and shared experiences among patients facing similar challenges.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure coordinated patient care for holistic treatment approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention services, supporting patients through urgent mental health situations with timely and effective strategies.

• Educate patients regarding their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards for all patient interactions and treatment plans.

You will work with a diverse array of clients dealing with various mental health challenges. Our patient demographic includes children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Brookhaven. Delivering culturally competent care is essential, as you will be addressing the unique needs and backgrounds of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R is essential to practice in New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
