Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients’ mental health status and therapy progress.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Provide regular therapy sessions for individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and culturally relevant approaches.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state regulations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to offer comprehensive care referrals when necessary.

• Conduct crisis interventions when required, providing immediate support and resources to clients in distress.

• Provide psychoeducation and guidance to clients regarding coping strategies and community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clients come from various cultural backgrounds, requiring a counselor who is culturally competent and sensitive to the nuances of different life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• At least four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n
