Utilizing secure video conferencing technology, you’ll communicate with clients to facilitate assessments, treatment plans, and progress evaluations from the comfort of your own space.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate effectively with clients' family members to track behavioral changes and evaluate treatment responses when necessary.

• Employ crisis intervention techniques to manage and alleviate clients' crisis situations.

• Deliver both face-to-face and telehealth services to clients, ensuring accessibility and adherence to best practices in counseling.

• Maintain compliance with all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA, safeguarding client confidentiality.

• Engage in clinical consultations and interdisciplinary meetings to align treatment strategies.

• Commit to continuous personal and professional development through attending relevant training sessions, conferences, and seminars.

• Uphold licensure requirements throughout your employment, ensuring your credentials remain in good standing.

• Successfully complete background checks required by DC & FBI and meet ongoing compliance requirements.

• Assist in mentoring junior therapists and interns, promoting professional growth and skill advancement among team members.

• Provide comprehensive case management, advocacy, and resource linkages for clients.
\n
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability while working with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

• Participate in on-call services and weekend coverage to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
\n
• Conduct thorough intake diagnostic assessments, including crisis planning and treatment strategy formulation.

• Identify underlying issues through detailed assessments and develop tailored therapeutic approaches for each client.

• Refer clients to psychiatrists or other specialists for further evaluations and recommendations.
\n
• Help clients navigate challenges such as low self-esteem, addiction, and familial conflicts through targeted recommendations and solutions.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client information and outcomes to inform treatment methods and improve care delivery.

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals struggling with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and various psychosocial challenges. Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in a human services-related field is essential.

• Current active licensure in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
