Work Environment\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor position is a full-time, remote role that leverages telehealth technologies to ensure flexibility and accessibility for our clients. Working from your home office, you will engage with clients via video conferencing, phone calls, and secure messaging platforms, allowing you to provide timely support without geographic restrictions. Our digital work environment is augmented by a robust electronic health records (EHR) system, ensuring seamless documentation and communication among our team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial interviews, and document client information accurately from the first consultation through to the cessation of treatment.

• Assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional conditions using standardized assessment tools, ensuring tailored treatment approaches.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques to foster client participation and progress.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary based on feedback and outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Initiate follow-ups and maintain communication with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization or more intensive services.
\n
• Recognize and intervene in behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing proactive strategies for clients and their families.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges within the household.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will work with a diverse population of clients experiencing various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our practice serves individuals across all age groups, and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by different demographics will enhance your ability to relate and offer effective support. You will utilize best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association to inform your therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW within the state of Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A background in mental health counseling with previous experience in a clinical setting.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health records, particularly AVATAR or similar systems.
\n
• An understanding of the interplay between mental health and underlying physical conditions, as well as knowledge of addiction disorders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.

• Empathetic interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 – 100,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
