Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial mental health assessments to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, ensuring a thorough documentation process from the first consultation to treatment completion.
\n
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate various therapeutic sessions, both individually and in group settings, helping clients engage in meaningful dialogue and share experiences while promoting mutual support.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate clients’ progress during the treatment process, adjusting plans and interventions as necessary to encourage optimal recovery.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to develop and manage comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Proactively follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate risks, focusing on promoting sustainable mental health outcomes.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance and resources to help them support their loved ones effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele served includes a wide range of individuals seeking mental health support for various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW within the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong foundation in clinical practices and therapeutic techniques.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain detailed documentation and facilitate treatment processes.

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as those struggling with addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of psychopharmacology and its effects on mental health.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, promoting effective client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n
