This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage your schedule while working from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Evaluations: Conduct initial mental health evaluations, documenting comprehensive case histories to tailor individual treatment plans.

• Treatment Planning: Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each plan aligns with therapeutic goals.

• Facilitation of Therapy Sessions: Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach based on the unique needs of each client.

• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess client progress throughout their treatment plans and modify strategies as needed to enhance their journey.

• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health specialists to create holistic intervention plans that foster client recovery.

• Patient Follow-Up: Maintain contact with clients following hospital admissions to ensure continuity of care and support during their recovery process.

• Health Education: Offer resources and guidance to families and primary caregivers to help manage behavioral challenges and support the recovery of loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Medina Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction. Your role is crucial in providing empathetic support and professional guidance to enhance their mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Educational Credentials: Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensing: Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Assessment Exam: Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in a similar mental health counseling role, with proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• In-depth understanding of mental health conditions co-occurring with physical health issues, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a naturally empathetic disposition to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
