Litigation Attorney

Litigation Attorney (Seattle, WA)

A well-established and highly respected civil defense litigation firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to develop strong litigation skills while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
• Participate in court appearances, depositions, and case strategy development
• Support senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar Association
• 2+ years of litigation experience or relevant judicial clerkship experience
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in written and oral advocacy
• Exposure to insurance and extra-contractual litigation matters
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a high level of professionalism and integrity
• Judicial clerkship or prior court experience (preferred, but not required)

Benefits

• Base salary: $135,000 - $155,000 (depending on experience)
