Accountant

Performs day-to-day accounting functions that support the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Responsibilities include balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, journal entries, and month-end close activities while ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly reconciliations for approximately 50 balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approval routing, and payment processing. Prepare and submit journal entries with supporting documentation Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Maintain accurate financial records and organized supporting documentation for audits and compliance Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts Support annual audit preparation and financial reporting Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting questions and support day-to-day financial operations Compensation The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $88,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $72,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 2+ years of accounting experience Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Deltek Costpoint Experience supporting government contractors Familiarity with FAR Part 31 cost principles Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations #J-18808-Ljbffr Avum Inc.
