Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Port Charlotte, Florida. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants and physicians. The role involves a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while focusing on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing physical functioning in alignment with each client's treatment plan.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostic techniques to assess muscle, nerve, and joint functionality.
• Design and oversee personalized treatment programs, while supervising and offering guidance to physical therapy assistants during therapy sessions.
• Evaluate clients' home environments to recommend modifications that promote increased independence and facilitate the healing process.
• Administer manual and therapeutic exercises while instructing clients in a variety of functional activities to enhance mobility.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, directly reporting changes or concerns to supervising physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Engage actively in case conferences with team members to holistically assess and adjust treatment strategies for optimal patient care.
• Prepare thorough clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring they are complete and submitted within the required timelines.
• Instruct clients and their families on using physical therapy devices, promoting understanding of their overall therapy programs.
• Participate in continuous education to stay abreast of best practices and evolving methodologies within the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, from post-surgical rehabilitation cases to individuals recovering from acute and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Florida.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably involving acute care or home health.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
