Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Prairie Lakes, you will:

• Direct and manage all aspects of physical therapy treatment for patients, with a focus on restoring functional movement, alleviating pain, and enhancing mobility.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional capabilities, utilizing diagnostic tests to inform treatment strategies.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patients' goals, updating these plans as necessary based on the progress and feedback.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective execution of treatment plans and adherence to care protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation techniques, assistive devices, and home exercise programs to encourage independence.
• Document clinical findings and treatment progress meticulously, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating comprehensive patient care.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment planning and coordination across care disciplines.
• Contribute to continuous service improvements by providing feedback and participating in company-wide performance initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current and valid Physical Therapy license in good standing in Florida.
• Certification in CPR.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records and familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with experience in either acute care or home healthcare settings will be given preference.
