Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Brevard Family Counseling Services, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a caseload of clients, establishing strong therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethics and boundaries.
\n
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess progress, discuss challenges, and prepare for transition or discharge when appropriate.
\n
• Develop, implement, and continuously monitor individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
\n
• Document each client's progress through timely and comprehensive progress notes and assessments.
\n
• Perform detailed intake assessments to understand each client's unique situation and needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions each week, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the client's needs.
\n
• Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance your clinical skills and ensure best practices are followed.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure integrated and comprehensive client care.

• Maintain a growth mindset, seeking opportunities for professional development and skills enhancement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health support to youth. You will address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges, contributing to the overall well-being of your clients. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid Licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
\n
• Strong ability to meet organizational credentialing requirements pertinent to mental health settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals struggling with substance abuse.

• A solid understanding of assessment techniques, diagnosis processes, and the delivery of both individual and group therapy.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing technology for documentation and communication purposes, including basic keyboarding skills.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have additional experience in:

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 65,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
