Director New Business Development

New Business Development Director – Aerospace Engineering Services Location: Seattle, Washington, USA About the Role We are seeking an accomplished New Business Development Director with strong expertise in Engineering Services (ER&D) to drive strategic growth across the Aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience selling engineering and technical services, a proven track record of developing new business with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, and the ability to build long-term strategic partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who combines strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of engineering solutions and the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for Engineering Services within the Aerospace sector. Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue growth. Build and strengthen relationships with Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Lead solution-based sales by positioning engineering design, digital engineering, testing, validation, and engineering consulting services. Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to develop customer-focused solutions. Prepare proposals, commercial offers, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Drive large, strategic opportunities from prospecting through contract closure. Monitor industry trends, customer challenges, and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in Engineering Services (ER&D) sales, business development, or strategic account management within the Aerospace or Defense industry. Proven experience selling engineering, design, digital engineering, or technology services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Strong business development and strategic account management experience. Demonstrated success closing large, complex Engineering Services engagements. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across global cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Experience Established relationships with senior decision-makers across the Aerospace industry. Experience developing and executing long-term account growth strategies. Strong understanding of Digital Engineering, Product Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Engineering Consulting services. Experience managing large strategic accounts and driving sustained business growth. Work Authorization Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status may be required based on client requirements.
