Quick Facts: Location: Clinton, NC Start Date: 08/29/2026 End Date: 10/16/2026 Shift: 24-hour call coverage Hours/Week: 40 hours (approximate) Employment Type: Locum Tenens Licensure/Certifications: Active North Carolina medical license, NC DEA, Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery Experience: Prior general orthopedic surgery experience required Pay & Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do: Provide general orthopedic surgical care, including fractures of wrist, ankle, and hip Manage long bone trauma stabilization and transfers Perform consults and diagnose acute orthopedic injuries Handle closed reductions and minimal inpatient admissions Collaborate with hospital staff and ensure timely patient care Be on-call to respond to emergencies within a 20-minute radius of the hospital site Comply with hospital policies including vaccination requirements What You Need: Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA license Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery Minimum of 2+ years of orthopedic surgical experience Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This position is based at a well-equipped hospital in Clinton, NC, where you'll deliver essential orthopedic surgical services on a 24-hour call schedule. The hospital features modern facilities, including Meditech IV systems, and offers private accommodations with amenities. Medical coverage includes close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and provider travel expenses are capped at $500, ensuring cost-effective arrangements.
