Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and equip them with coping strategies to improve their emotional wellness.
\n
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated treatment plans.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention as required, especially during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and families about trauma consequences, effective coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training related to trauma-informed practices.

• Stay current on the latest research, trends, and methodologies related to trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who have experienced significant trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your therapeutic expertise will guide individuals on their path to healing, helping them navigate the emotional and psychological impacts of their experiences. We are committed to providing culturally competent care, recognizing the unique backgrounds and circumstances of each patient that affect their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to work cohesively in a team setting while remaining composed in challenging situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience\n
