Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools to gain insight into patients’ trauma histories and current mental health status.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices aimed at trauma recovery, resilience-building, and skill development.

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs.

• Facilitate both one-on-one and group therapy sessions, employing specialized techniques to help clients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma, helping to manage and mitigate risk effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, recovery processes, and available community resources to enhance understanding and engagement in treatment.

• Create and maintain detailed and confidential documentation in adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that center around trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidates will work primarily with individuals and families affected by complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders. These populations often require sensitivity and a skillful approach to treatment, as their experiences can manifest in varied and profound ways. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, particularly in mental health settings focused on trauma recovery.

• Extensive understanding of trauma-related disorders and best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental approach in client interactions.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure, demonstrating effective crisis management skills.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with teletherapy tools to ensure effective service delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of experience is preferred, candidates with a strong understanding of trauma-informed therapies, including practical application of therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT, will find this role particularly rewarding. Proven ability in delivering group therapy and building rapport with diverse client populations is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
